Understanding the Property Log Chrome Extension
The Property Log Google Chrome extension is an innovative tool designed to revolutionize online shopping wishlist experiences, particularly in the real estate sector. The extension allows users to track historic price changes for properties listed on the Rightmove website. It unveils the current state of the housing market in the property's area, acting as a shopping list manager. This information is crucial in making informed decisions when buying or selling a property.
Why the High Rating?
Despite the mixed user reviews, the Property Log Chrome extension maintains a relatively high rating. Much of this can be attributed to the extension's unique features, such as property price tracking and deal aggregator, which are unmatched in the market. Users have praised the extension's functionality, with some noting its usefulness and efficiency. According to user Deep Shah, "This is a very useful extension."
Subscription-Based Service
While the Property Log Chrome extension is free for the majority of users, heavy users are required to subscribe to the service after six weeks of use. This move has sparked mixed reactions among users. Some users, as seen from the reviews, feel that the subscription cost of £2.99 a month is unwarranted when there are free alternatives. However, the subscription guarantees you uninterrupted access to price drop alerts, a crucial feature for those heavily involved in online shopping.
Addressing User Concerns
The Property Log Chrome extension developers are keen on addressing user concerns. Based on the reviews, some users have experienced issues with the extension's functionality. The developers are continually working to update the extension and rectify these issues. So, if you're looking for an effective shopping list organizer, price comparison tool, and deal aggregator, the Property Log Chrome extension is worth considering.
Conclusion
While it has its own set of challenges, the Property Log Chrome extension remains one of the top Chrome extensions for price tracking. It offers you a seamless online shopping experience, ensuring you make the most out of your shopping lists. The extension is continually improving and adapting to user needs, making it a significant tool in today's online shopping environment.
20 Reviews For This Extension
The free version of this extension is incredible, and the unrestricted £2.99/month subscription helped us negotiate £25,000 off the price of our new home. It helped us understand the price trends in the area we were looking to move to and see that based on trends in other homes, the one we wanted was vastly overpriced and the sellers were hoping for us to be naïve. Our home had been reduced once, but not enough to match the trend we'd seen, and very likely would be on the market for another 3-6 months before being reduced again (in which time we would likely lose it to another buyer). We explained this to the seller and negotiated £25k off which brought it down to match local trends without the new price going public. Without being able to demonstrate this knowledge, we probably would have had to pay at least another £15,000 or more for this property. I don't see why others have reviewed this poorly when the cost is a few pounds per month but what it can help you save is thousands.
While this app WAS Good years ago, I now feel its a waste of having it, since 99% of the time the prices are blurred and they want you to pay £2.99 per month for this. Their website states its free to a certain point, but this is only to make people download this and then suck them in to paying hoping people will forget that they are paying for it. The property log prices are always blurred. so its actually useless having it. Don't waste your time and download this, they are plenty of other FREE chrome extensions that are significantly better. Sometimes the creators get greedy and forget their purpose.
Shocking 2.99 a month for readily available information, will use other extensions for free
Sorry not worth it anymore and I'll be removing it since it is being charged a bit too much, i'll be downloading the other free one.
Kind of pointless now as the prices are blurred. There's another extension which does the same thing and is free (looks nicer too).
This is a superb plug in. It does what it says on the tin and in a very elegant way. I was happy to pay the £2.99 subscription fee for the extra information and peace of mind this plug in gave me in making possibly the largest financial decision of my lifetime, it is a steal at twice the price. Anyone giving this a one star rating in the expectation that helpful software should always be free needs to get their head checked.
Not worth paying for. Simple as that. It was a nice feature but why put it behind a monthly subscription paywall...
Was great until became a paid app like many others these days. Therefore, deleted like many others! I mean you can just ask the estate agent if your interested and its more than likely gone down in price anyway!
Was great until they blurred the prices behind a paywall, completely useless now.
Has never worked properly in the 2 weeks i've now had it. Doesn't show price changes, only blurred prices which is removed if paid for. Apparently it should only do this after viewing 500 listings but this did it after just 5 listings. Pointless and functionless.
Does exactly what I wanted it to. Small, simple and effective.
Excellent value given the amount it could save a buyer and very responsive customer support.
Very useful. I'd like to know if there is a Property Log for Safari. I use Safari 'reading list' to save properties, but I have to copy and paste to Chrome if I want the detail.
Thanks for your time. Ill use property tracker now.
So many strange comments about having to PAY to use a service that in essence could save you A LOT of money if using to purchase a new home. It's a great extension and a shame to see so many people leaving 1 star reviews.
Totally agree with the other reviews here (shame I didn't read them before purchasing). Becomes absolutely useless once paid. In fact, I found a lot of other apps/extensions that does more than this one and is cheaper. Don't even bother taking this one. It will be an absolute waste of time.
Useless when became paid - especially there are other free options that provides more and better data
Why is the price history blurred? becoz you got to pay and scbscribe £3/m well, I guess Property tracker is good enough for me... LoL
I've been using Property Log for a couple of years, and it's been an indispensable ally as I've searched for new rental properties in this crazy, treacherous, shark-infested market. If it had saved me from committing to one bad rental deal, it would have paid for itself - but it's already saved me from several. Thankfully, I don't need to dive into the market for a while - but if/when I do, I'm coming back and resubscribing. no question. Ignore the 'tyre kickers' giving this 1 star - this is a valuable tool that will ultimately save you money and stress.
I suddenly have to pay for it to use it
